Tim's Daily Diaries 27/12/2025

Hay folks Tim here with your Boxing Day Friday update. The weather is continuing the winter theme, cold but thankfully dry and the wind has dropped a little. I will give an update on who is in which field and keeping who company later in the diary.

We all hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas time? We were very lucky and had dedicated volunteers who came to care for us over the holidays, thankyou all so much we really are very appreciative, especially in the cold!

Tilly goat and Elf May have both been very good at collecting news nibbles and passing them on to me so thankyou guys, couldn’t do it without you! I am in with Tom and the goaties at the moment but sometimes I am so busy eating nummy grass and hay to stay warm that it is useful to have other pairs of eyes on the lookout for news too!

Mr Moss our new black stallion is being very vocal and doing lots of trotting around he is hoping to catch a few ladies eyes we think. He is going to feel so much calmer once he has had his decorations removed.

Peanut and Charlie are settled in now as well.

Floss our sheep has been enjoying the company of a selection of ponies who are better eating grass than hay due to poor teeth, so currently lovebirds Piglet and Twinkle are keeping Bonny and Floss company. Our other two new arrivals, Natalie and Bilbo are on the enrichment track during the day. Then they can get to know the others Sweetpea, George, Dave and Bert through the fences. It is all happening!!

Teddie blue eyes has been working hard with his dedicated handler May and is doing wonderfully well, he is being very good and doing what he is asked to do. Well done Teddie and May! There were no therapists, vets, farriers or dentists on Thursday as of course it was Christmas Day! So we haven’t missed a report honestly!

Don’t forget the Trickle Net giveaway, draw for winners on December 30th so get your entry in, anyone can enter for any pony, doesn’t have to be a Munchkin but you are welcome to nominate one of them.

Some post Christmas fun. Elf May has produced a fun ‘can you guess which pony this is’ cartoons, it will be appearing on the page soon, how many ponies can you identify?

All the Munchkins have asked me to say a huge THANK YOU to all our supporters for their kind donations and gifts that have enabled the barn to be built and the daily costs of 60 Munchkins to be met! We couldn’t do it without each and every single one of you. Thank you!

We still need £28,000 to finish the concrete around the barn. Mummy Munchkin is going greyer by the day trying to find or think of ways to raise the extra money. She is thinking of large corporate donations, a big barn sale of goods.

Or an official barn dance/ barn party when the weather is warmer.

Or asking 2,800 people to do a fundraiser for us and raising £100 each.

A plea to Ricky Gervais?

Or a go fund me. How to raise £1000 a day for 28 days. We have a lot of rugs still for sale so keep a look out.

The shop is closed over the Christmas period as Mummy Munchkin honestly needs a break and still isn't over her nasty cough and virus.

That is all for today, still a little quiet after the celebrations! I will be back tomorrow with more, TTFN,

Tim, Munchkins Head Reporter.
