An early start today! Tim here folks with your mightily chilly Monday update, the troughs continue to freeze, the sun is warm when it visits but there is ice everywhere early in the morning! We are all very fluffy and grateful for our fluffy leg warmers, thank you Mother Nature, at minus 5 we need them! Hay folks Tim here with your chilly Sunday news round up! The iced buckets and troughs are still with us and we have had several comments suggesting placing the ice sheets in tubs so that the water can be reused when it thaws, it would also save the water that does melt from re freezing on the ground and being a slip hazard! Tim here folk, a quick update of the Saturday news, a relatively short report today as not much going on currently! The weather is still cold and the temperature is due to drop a little more over the next few days before the rain returns! We may get some sleet or snow over the next week but nothing like people are having further up North! Hay folks, Tim here with the Friday news roundup. Things are getting beck to a nearly normal routine, still a little light on volunteers as the winter lurgi takes its toll but we are slowly returning to normal. Our mornings are cold and wintery which is definitely appropriate for January! I have heard that higher up the country there are ice and snow warnings, the children will be pleased. Hay folks Tim here with your Thursday update, the new year is here! Lots of things occurred in 2025 a Munchkins charity shop opened, our barn was granted planning permission and mostly built, we lost many friends and rehomed several more. More rescues were admitted to the herd and assisted back to health. A very busy year all told! Our herd numbers have climbed back up again to nearly 60. Well folks Tim here, the last day of 2026 was cold (minus 4 in the morning.) Wednesday or New Years Eve, is also Mummy Munchkins birthday so it was a busy day at HQ today! We had a few extra volunteers who kindly came out to help as the normal team are somewhat decimated by the winter lurgi !
