Tim's Daily Diaries 6/1/2026

An early start today!

 Tim here folks with your mightily chilly Monday update, the troughs continue to freeze, the sun is warm when it visits but there is ice everywhere early in the morning! We are all very fluffy and grateful for our fluffy leg warmers, thank you Mother Nature, at minus 5 we need them! The forecasters say that the cold snap is coming to an end so the next step of the barn try out starts! How does it work in the wet? We will see, follow the page to find out, and check out the video of the oldies letting themselves out from the barn, very happy ponies.

    Looks like we are on to a winning streak for 2026! Thankyou to everyone who voted for us to win the Eezefeeder in their Christmas giveaway, we were the lucky ones chosen to rehome a big bale feeding ring! Another item off our wish list for the barn, now to test if it is Munchkin proof, I am sure there will be no shortage of volunteers!

   Do check out the cute video of romantic couple Piglet and Twinkle. There is a very cute video of the couple wandering up the track to the barn for tea and bed time, reading the ‘messages’ as they go, so lovely to see. If you listen with the volume up you can even hear Casper the goat wishing them goodnight as they walk past! They are both displaying wonderful full fluffy Shetland winter fur coats, especially good for this weather!

    Our photographer Lucas has been very busy connecting up the blue barrels so that we can collect and harvest rain water. It is a brilliant idea as it should help save money on the water bills and if the mains pipe in the roads bursts again we will have water!! Brilliant.

    Poor Elf May is unwell so will post the identities of the cartoon ponies when she is better, but as the results were promised for 5th of January, May asked me to let everyone know who managed to crack the code and identify the most ponies! Amy Newton was the top sleuth with all 12 correct and with 11 correct we had a three way tie, Isla Norman, Elly Honeyball and Krys Lavery. Well done guys! No hiding from you!!

    Tilly and I are currently investigating the possible "leaking” of the jingle juice recipe! We will update you as we discover more!
