Tim's Daily Diaries 28/12/2025

Hay folks Tim here with the post Christmas news roundup from Munchkins, things are still a little on the quiet side but things are slowly getting back to normal. The weather remains chilly but it is winter and so far our fluffy coats have stood up to the tests thrown at them! Plenty of hay helps us stay warm too!

The Munchkins herd are all recovering nicely from the excitement of Christmas and our North Pole visitors! Just ready to start celebrating again when the New Year happens! We are just hoping that there are not too many fireworks going off. We are all looking forward to the next year though, after all it is the year of the horse!

Womble has been booked in to see the vets to investigate his wonky legs and see if anything can be done to help him, so hooves and fingers crossed that there is an answer for the poor lad. He was such a trooper and so responsible during the North Pole delivery run.

There are some lovely pictures taken at the end of last week by volunteer May. There are pictures of Lola, the goaties, and many Munchkins HQ herd members, including lucky boy Teddie in the new headcollar that he has been gifted. It matches your blue eyes Ted!

Blue barrels have appeared at strategic points around the yard and stables, they will hopefully catch rainwater saving money on the water bill. The water in them can be used for soaking haynets and filling water buckets on the yard, ponies quite often prefer rainwater for drinking anyway! We await the rain in the New Year to ensure the barrels are best placed to harvest the rain water to save it adding to the mud!

Mummy Munchkin edited in some information to yesterday’s diary about the barn build and fundraising needs, I hope it was useful? If anyone has any good ideas though please let us know!

Don’t forget the haynet giveaway in conjunction with Trickle Net haynets, the 3 winners will be drawn on Tuesday, so don’t miss out.

Well I did say things were relatively quiet here at the moment. I will return tomorrow with more news for you, TTFN.
